8 Days / 7 Nights
1st Day
Arrival Catania. Light walking tour and welcome cocktail
Arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel in Catania city centre. After check in, short and easy walking tour of the town of Catania, the black town, as the color of the volcano Etna. Welcome cocktail.
2nd Day
Walking Food Tour in Catania
Walking Food Tour of this gorgeous town known for its beautiful barocco and its amazing food. Taste the typical local street food while you enjoy the city center: the fish market, elephant square, the cathedrale and the mains squares.
3rd Day
Syracuse, the archeological park and Ortigia.
Pick up from your accommodation. Arrival in Syracuse, after about an hour. Guided tour of the Archaeological Park that includes the main attractions: the Greek theater, the quarries (Latomie) the most famous is the Ear of Dionysius, the Roman amphitheater. After visiting the park, we will visit Ortigia. From the temple of Apollo we will begin our enchanting walk in the heart of Ortigia. We will see the fabulous fountain of Diana, the majestic cathedral that was once a temple. Our tour stops near the fountain Orfeo and Aretusa where we will end the tour telling you the myth of these two lovers. Time for lunch and shopping.
4th Day
Sicilian cooking class in an ancient village
Enjoy one of the most amazing cooking class in a typical Sicilian small village perched on the top of a mountain. Here you will meet le “mamme del borgo” (mothers of the village). They will show how to cook some typical Sicilian recipes, and you will learn to prepare it with your hands. Lunch with typical Sicilian food and of course with the recipes you cooked.
5th Day
Taormina the Mediterranean pearl
We will visit the pearl of the Mediterranean with a local guide. We will see the main attractions: the ancient theatre, which still retains all its charm, the city park (Villa Comunale), where we will appreciate the peace and beauty of this beautiful green area, the colorful streets and flowered balconies and the emblematic Piazza IX Aprile where you can admire one of the most beautiful views of Taormina. Lunch in a typical restaurant and free time for shopping.
6th Day
Sicilian countryside experience in a family farm
Live Sicilian rural life with this experience. We will reach the shepherd in a rural area of the town. You will tast hot ricotta and the Nebrodi provola DOP, with the possibility of milking cows. Then we will proceed with lunch, which will take place in a typical restaurant. The menu includes a small appetizer, a first course, a second course and a dessert. The whole menu will feature typical Sicilian dishes. This experience will take place in a typical countryside village at the bottom of Mount Etna.
7th Day
Etna Experience and wine tasting in a local winery.
Pick up from your accommodation and visit of the volcano Etna, a natural wonder in the World heritage list of Unesco since 2013. We will discover the north side of the volcano (wilder and less touristic than the south). After the visit, we will have a wine experience in one of the best Winery of the area with a light lunch with local products.
8th Day
Check out and transfer to the airport
