Taormina is known as the pearl of Sicily. Amazing views. Fabulous architecture. Ancient and modern history through the narrow streets of this picturesque village. The departure point is Porta Catania, where we will start our exciting tour by walking around the city’s main monuments, such as Cathedral Square and the iconic Piazza IX Aprile, from where you can admire one of the most beautiful views of Taormina: the sea and Etna together. We continue through the colourful alleyways and flowered balconies to arrive at another Roman monument: the Naumachie. We will continue to the city park (Villa Comunale), where we will appreciate the calm and beauty of this beautiful green space. Guided tour of the Archaeological Park including the main attractions: the Greek theatre, the quarries (Latomie), of which the most famous is the Ear of Dionysius, the Roman amphitheatre. You will travel through the history of this amazing town known all around the world. After visiting the park, we move on to Ortigia city centre. We will start our enchanting walk at the heart of Ortigia from Apollo’s Temple. We will see the fabulous Fountain of Diana, the majestic cathedral that was once a temple.
